We’re looking for a Project Engineer to step into the Rehab department, based out of Wiri, Auckland.

The project scope covers a range of activities aimed at restoring, improving, or upgrading existing road infrastructure across the area of South Auckland. The work is designed to extend the lifespan, enhance safety, and bring roadways up to current standards, without necessarily constructing entirely new roads but improving the current infrastructure.

In addition to the above you will:

- Plan, organise and manage road rehabilitation projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance to industry standards, including quality control documentation, ITP’s to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications.
- Collate field records and input data for accurate daily productivity and monthly forecasting costings.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial claims to meet payment deadlines.
- Prepare schedules, budgets, staffing and resource allocation plans on weekly and monthly basis.
- Produce monthly reports and track actual vs budget spend to share with managers.
- Attend daily or weekly site meetings and prepare regular updates for clients.
- Perform audits and checks for site compliance with Safety, Environmental & Quality management plans including reporting on audits and non conformance and near misses.
- Oversee the work and provide engineering expertise and technical solutions for rehabilitation tasks.

We’re looking for someone with:

- Hold a qualification in Civil Engineering or related field is ideal.
- Hold a minimum 2 years experience as Senior Site Engineer or Project. Engineer working across local govt road maintenance projects or similar rehab related work.
- Hold a NZ Class 1 NZ driver’s licence.
- Comfortable working weekends and nights as part of a regular schedule along with days shifts.
- Have good understanding of relevant standards (AT and NZTA specifications) is ideal.
