The Commission is going through an exciting period of growth, driven by increases in its functions, duties and powers.
We are looking for an Assistant Economist or Economist to join our Competition Economics team. This is a permanent role based in either our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) office or Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.

To be successful in this role you will have qualifications in economics or a related discipline, preferably at honours level or above.

**As an Assistant Economist, you will also have**:

- Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn;
- Strong team work skills in a multi-disciplinary environment;
- The ability to work across multiple matters within tight timeframes;
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
**As an Economist, you will also have**:

- strong analytical skills and ability to present analysis clearly and within tight timeframes.
