Butchery Manager

As the Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our Butchery department, leading your team to be top performers and highly customer focused. You'll contribute to delivering a positive shopping experience for our customers while ensuring operational excellence in the Butchery section.

As Butchery Manager you will:

- Responsible for the overall management of butchery - people, finance, customer service, operations.
- Provide leadership and support to the butchery team members, fostering a culture of excellent customer service and teamwork.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and working with apprentices to become top butchers
- Monitor butchery inventory levels, managing JIT ordering, and ensure product availability and freshness.
- Manage butchery department merchandising and ensure that butchery displays are attractive and well-stocked.
- Provide a high level of customer service, handle customer inquiries and concerns regarding butchery products in a professional and friendly manner.
- Food Safety, you will need to be able to follow our Food Safety plan, you will need to complete all required paperwork and follow all the procedures included in the plan.
- Housekeeping will be a big part of this role; our butchery department needs to be kept in a clean and hygienic state at all times.
- Complete administrative tasks and reporting related to the Butchery department.

What we are looking for:

- This role will ideally suit someone who has experience in the FMCG butchery industry and who has previously been in a supervisory/management position.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer-oriented environment.
- Sound knowledge of computer skills, including the use of SAP
- Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role.
- Availability to work flexible hours.
