Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Sponsorship Manager in NZ Marketing COE, you’ll play a key role in leading the implementation of the sponsorship strategy across the sponsorship portfolio. It includes the development and effective implementation of sponsorship strategies and initiatives, in conjunction with the Head of Sponsorship. The role creates positive community and customer experiences and is critical in continuing to grow the ANZ brand.
This Sponsorship Manager role reports into the Head of Sponsorship.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like
In a typical day or week, your work will involve the following:
Ensure successful delivery within approved portfolio budgets
Report & measure effectiveness of initiatives against agreed objectives demonstrate ROI
Provide sponsorship leverage strategies to meet business & brand objectives
Building & maintaining strong relationships with assigned business units and sponsored partners
Target measure & report brand impact measures to demonstrate effective leverage of sponsorship portfolio.
Drive agreed sponsorship contracts and follow review & management processes.
Lead the development of annual sponsorship portfolio plans identifying innovative leverage strategies and tactics to assist the business in achieving targets.
Ensure company compliance with specified sponsorship portfolio contracts.
Managing relationships & performance with specific sponsored partners
Manage direct staff and agencies actively leading, mentoring and coaching for delivery of best practice.
Manage relationships with senior stakeholders
Ensure all leverage activity complies with the ANZ Group brand and marketing strategy, policies processes and standards and external regulatory requirements.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
5-7 years+ sponsorship, marketing or customer strategy experience
End-to-end sponsorship and marketing campaign delivery experience, from briefing through to delivery, and then documenting results and recognising key learnings
Strong project management skills, including event management, to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and on schedule Strategic thinking and ability to draft strategic recommendations including ability to identify and develop insights into sponsorship initiatives
Strong initiative and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to build and influence positive collaborative relationships with mid-senior level internal stakeholders and sponsorship partners
Negotiation skills
Ability to work constructively in a fast paced team environment
Highly organised, excellent prioritisation and capacity management skills
