**About the Role**:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced **HVAC Technician** to join our team at **Auckland Prison**. In this role, you will work closely with the Facilities Manager and Trades Operations Supervisor to deliver high-quality maintenance services across the site. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, managing subcontractors, completing documentation, and ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a secure and structured environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Performing planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Coordinating subcontractor activities and ensuring compliance.
- Conducting regular facility inspections and reporting issues.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Participating in emergency response efforts and supporting minor projects.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with KPIs and safety standards.

**About You**:

- Trade qualified HVAC Technician with commercial maintenance experience.
- General understanding of core building services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Comfortable working in a secure environment and passing background checks.
- Strong commitment to safety, security, and ethical conduct.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work on an on-call roster.
- Computer literate and able to manage documentation.
- Site Safe, Working at Heights, and EWP certifications beneficial (training provided if needed).

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a drug test, complete a Pre-employment Health Questionnaire and MOJ check. A criminal conviction review is also a requirement of the role.
