experienced, skilled and dedicated midwife to join our senior team as a Midwife
Clinical Coach. You will be working week days across pre-negotiated hours
providing clinical coaching to our midwifery staff. With a passion for
midwifery and a focus on recruitment and retention the Clinical Coach role
supports new graduate, return to practice, internationally qualified and newly
starting midwives to the facility. The Clinical Coaches also support maternity
staff to develop and advance identified skill sets.
Ko wai koe | About You
This role requires you to work as an experienced
midwife within our multidisciplinary team with at least 5 years - experience and
have no conditions on your practicing certificate. You will demonstrate
culturally safe practice, uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and demonstrate
commitment to Pae Ora.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
- Current practising certificate
- use the Midwifery Standards of Practice and Turanga Kaupapa as

their framework
- demonstrate clinical competence and cultural safety
professional disciplinary body
- be fully engaged in the Midwifery Council Recertification Programme
- meet the person specifications required by the Midwifery Council to
be a supervisor
- sign an agreement with the Midwifery Council outlining the
responsibilities of the Clinical Coach in their role as supervisor to
midwives undertaking the RTP programme
