**Clinical Nurse Specialist Kidz First Emergency Department**

We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Advanced Practice Nursing team based in Kidz First Emergency Department.

**About the role**

You will provide specialist nursing and medical treatment in Kidz First Emergency Department at Middlemore Hospital. The focus is on providing timely treatment, interventions, support, and clinical expertise to a defined group of patients. There is a requirement to actively work in partnership with the nursing, medical and allied staff to ensure high quality care across the continuum including to locality community-based services and the Primary Care Health team.

This role will actively contribute to the development, maintenance and review of quality activities which include policies, procedures and wide initiatives within the team and CM Health.

**About you**

Are you a practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist with the desire to work in a fast-paced and diverse work environment? To be successful in this role you will need:

- New Zealand Registered Nurse
- Minimum 4 years post registration experience in an acute care nursing setting
- A Postgraduate Diploma in nursing (or equivalent) or be working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in nursing (or equivalent)
- A strong background in paediatric or emergency nursing
- Preferably working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist

Middlemore Hospital is situated in a lower socio-economic area and serves a culturally diverse, high need population with high acuity presentations.
