Tech Mahindra is on the hunt for two **Consultants - Technical** **(Firmware Engagement Managers)** to join their technical teams based out of **Auckland,** New Zealand for full time work.
**Consultant Technical** (**Firmware Engagement Manager**) at Tech Mahindra will be required to perform the following key roles & responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the experience by leading the technical team / project.
- Collect client’s requirement and translate them into technical objectives. Should be able to perform feasibility check and effort estimation.
- Diagnose and solve technical problems related to firmware development and binary generation for client devices.
- Use your expertise in embedded system design to evaluate and select development methods, processes, standard methodologies, and tools.
- Work directly with key business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, design, consider design alternatives, facilitate discussions, and provide out-of-the-box solution.
- Recognize and create strategies to reduce potential risks in project execution.
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a relevant tertiary qualification and demonstrate knowledge and experience with embedded system design, Linux kernel internals, android software stack, system programming, C programming language, continuous Integration and build tools & cross-compilers, especially in the Embedded System domain.
Applicants with **at least 5** years of relevant work experience with the below technical skill sets will be preferred:
- Knowledge of building firmware software for embedded hardware.
- Knowledge of reading and understanding data sheets, hardware schematic diagrams, protocol standards.
- Understanding of project management concepts, techniques, and strategies.
- Understanding of Android Software Stack will be an add-on.
The ideal applicants will have people management experience along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
**Salary**
The gross salary range for this position is between **NZD $80000 to NZD $ 100000 per annum over a 40-hour workweek. **Other benefits include health and welfare insurance for you and your family.
