We have an opportunity to join BNZ's Technology Core Systems leadership tīma (team) as **Head of Engineering
- Centre of Excellence**.

**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**

We sat down with our GM Core Systems, and they let us know the following about the tūranga (role).

**What are some of the day to day tasks the person in this tūranga will complete?**
- Develop and implement a technology-wide engineering strategy that aligns with BNZ's strategic ambition and technology strategy.
- Influence the priorities of key core domains to drive the adoption of new technologies and the decommissioning of old technologies.
- Build and lead a high-performing leadership team and domain. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Represent engineering at an executive level to underline the critical nature of engineering, highlight opportunities and align investment with engineering strategy.
- Responding to emerging issues.
- Managing finances for the domain.

**What is the tīma culture and environment like?**

Deeply technical, respectful and collaborative.

**What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?**
