The cook is responsible for delivering good standards of kitchen control and well-cooked food of munu items and to provide an efficient and cost effective food service for the establishment.

The main duties included:
1.To ensure efficiency of the shop and good cooperation with general management of the business.

2. To ensure legislative compliance of the shop, including the supervision of staff and the supervision of the operation of the business.

3. Maintain good kitchen skills.

4. To coordinate the work of the kitchen staff and direct the preparation of meals, oversee the kitchen operations to ensure food quality and presentation of meals.

5. To set standards, scheduling, monitoring and training staff to achieve high standards.

6. To assess in the completion of staff performance reviews and coordinates the general manager in the recruitment and discharge of the employees.

7. To support staff in their daily activities and step in or cover when required.

8. Be responsible for the facility and equipment are maintained to certain standard on day to day running.

9.Ordering and controlling stock budgeting.

10.Work out food and labour costs, eliminating wastage and resolve any problems

11. Maintain good flair and imagination on menu planning.

12. Recommend the promotion plan and follow up the promotion activites to achieve the sales target.

13. Resolve all customers complaints in a manner that enhance the reputation and standard of the business

Duration and type of employment: Permanent Full-time

Pay rate: NZD Minimum $32.00 - Maximum $35.00 per hour

Minimum Guaranteed hours of work:
1.Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week

2.Work between Monday to Sunday, 11:30 am - 9:30pm

3.Maybe required to work up to a maximum 50 hours per week (exclusive of overtime)

4.Location: 62 Moana street Whanganui east Whanganui 4500

Minimum qualifications, skills and experiences:

- At least 2 years of relevant industry work experience or a level5 qualification on the New Zealand qualification and credentials framework (NZQCF)
- Skilled in kitchen skills
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
