Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time permanent Lead Operational Data Warehouse Engineer who will be responsible for the leadership and overall support and maintenance of the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse operational cloud services here at Te Whatu Ora, Heath New Zealand.
In this role you will be expected to drive the continuous improvements and automate operational processes and standards required including existing Cloud Data Warehouse solutions that have been implemented as well as the emerging solutions and services long term.
Ideally this role will be based in Wellington, but we are open to further discussions how this location could work best for you.
Mōu | About you
As a natural leader, you will be in your element leading a team of Cloud Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse engineers ensuring the data pipeline releases in Snowflake, DBT data transformation tool and Qlik Cloud are executed, well supported and documented.
You will have significant experience in Business Intelligence in all phases of the BI lifecycle, from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, go-live and production support.

**This role requires and/or would benefit from the following**:

- Tertiary qualification and/or a minimum of 8 years' experience working with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions
- Knowledge in Business Intelligence in all phases of the BI lifecycle
- Experience mentoring/coaching a team of technical specialists.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex issues and information and present ways to enable effective decisions clearly
