The role of the Team Lead Mana Whānau is to provide leadership support across their respective kaimahi delivering contractual services in the Whānau Ora, NVP, EARS, Whānau Resilience and Intensive Whānau roles.
The Team Lead will provide clear team leadership, direction, and support kaimahi to establish a culture of service delivery excellence which aligns to best practice and research and enhances team performance and a positive working atmosphere.
The Team Lead works closely with the Service Delivery Manager - Social & Education Services and is actively involved in the recruitment, training and induction of new kaimahi.
In conjunction with managing the Mana Whānau team, the Team Lead may carry a contractual caseload.
**Key Responsibilities of the role include**:
- Demonstrating a sound understanding of team performance and objectives.
- Meeting all service delivery requirements of the programmes meet compliance
- Reporting requirements are met, oversight of reporting and completion responsible to the Service Delivery Manager
- Engage in HR process requirements
- Foster growth and development of Kaimahi
- Manage and mitigate all clinical and kaupapa risks
- Review assessments and caseloads
- Oversee and engage in cultural supervision
- Foster strong networks with hapū, iwi, rangatahi groups, kura kaupapa Māori, health, and external agencies
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, local employers, agencies and community providers
- Complete reporting requirements efficiently
- Bachelor of Social Work, Registered Social Worker
- Case management experience
- Previous experience working in a diverse organisation in a similar role
- Strong understanding of TKKH and the Eastern Bay of Plenty communities
- Current valid full drivers licence
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills
- Strong relationship and network management skills
- Organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Appreciation of Te Reo Māori and understanding of tikanga Māori
