Competitive hourly rate above minimum wage (level of experience and/or skill dependent) and range of employee benefits; On-site role located in Albany; Permanent, full-time opportunity in the Paint and Paint Accessories department. 40 hours per week.

**About the role**

Due to recent staff changes, we are looking for an experienced paint counter assistant to serve the North Shore community. This role is part of a team that helps to inspire, create and assist our local community with their DIY paint related projects You would share your color and paint knowledge with our customers when they come to us to help them create, inspire and design their homes and projects. We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable paint team member to help them.

**What will you bring?**
- You would have strong paint product knowledge and either a background working with paint in a commercial environment OR be an avid DIY'er OR have professional trade experience as it relates to painting.
- You would have the confidence and ability to help customers understand what they will need for their paint projects.
- You would have sufficient strength and fitness to deal with the challenge of merchandising product deliveries.
- You would have a down to earth personality that focuses on how we can do what we need to do
- You would be comfortable picking up new technology.
- You would have an affinity for providing an excellent customer service experience.
- You would have an awareness and understanding of health and safety.
- You would be a local resident, preferably within the Silverdale basin.
