About the role
**Role Location**: Wellington or Auckland
The purpose of the Software Licensing Specialist is to ensure that ANZ is appropriately licenced for Hardware, Software both on ANZ premises and in hosted environments (such as Cloud services). It is to ensure that ANZ receives the best value from Vendors/Partners for Hardware and Software by managing supplier contracts over the contract lifecycle, including contract negotiation, amendments, additions, renewals, extensions, pricing reviews, terminations, and for addressing supplier performance, discrepancies and adherence to contractual obligations
What will your day look like
Maintain contractual records associated with ANZ Hardware and Software licensing position
Develop and implement procedures and policies to maintain compliance with Licensing agreements
Influence internal stakeholders to ensure necessary commercial practices occur prior to contracting
Review SOW's and contracts to ensure contract excellence prior to signature
Manage the vendor relationship, including acting as the escalation point for dispute resolution
Management of the vendor governance model for relevant vendors
Financially assess vendor spend against agreed contractual deliverables
Create and maintain vendor profiles and monthly commercial and governance documentation
Maintain awareness and influence of market trends within the Technology that may be of benefit to ANZ
Assess technical Statements of Work in order to determine functionality, effort, outcomes and financial benefits will result to ANZ's advantage
Review Vendor proposals
What will you bring?
Ideally you will have a LLB or BCom and a keen interest in software licencing.
Strong knowledge of software licensing models and structure
Strong understanding of contracts, contracting & terms and conditions
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to consult and influence stakeholders
Experience with Vendor and 3rd party management experience
Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
Ability to understand accounting and the ability to identify and quantify cost saving opportunities
Ability to constructively challenge existing processes and procedures
LLB or BCom or related licensing management experience from a contractual management perspective.
