We are seeking Summer Residential Advisors (RAs) to join the UniLodge team at UniLodge at Canterbury

If you are looking for a flexible summer role and are passionate about making a difference in our communities, love where you live and care about people, then this role is for you

**About the Role**
- Act a “Mentor” and form a friendly and open point of contact for assistance, information and welfare to residents
- Provide advice and report any concerns regarding resident welfare
- Assist the Management team with grievances and or conflict resolution as required
- Be an active member of the emergency response team during shift times and other times when in the building
- Call the emergency services when appropriate to ensure a quick response to any emergency

**About You**
- Must be a resident at a UniLodge property
- Enrolled at a tertiary education institution
- A demonstrated capacity for leadership and maturity
- An ability to respond to difficult or challenging situations in a calm and responsible manner while following all appropriate procedures
- Have empathy with the diverse issues faced by university students and an appreciation of the needs of students in residential accommodation
- Good writing skills and ability to motivate others
- High level of creativity and problem-solving ability
- Ability to interact with residents of many different cultures and backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
- Experience living in student residential accommodation
- Must have flexible availability to meet the training and rostering requirements, including during weekends
- Police Vetting (required)
