Library Assistant

Then this could be the position for you We are looking for Casual Library Assistants to join our team.

You will need to be able to work at the main Davis Library and the Gonville branch, and be available to work at short notice across the week, including weekends. Some shifts will be booked ahead of time to cover staff annual leave and special events; on other days you will be called in the morning to cover sickness and unexpected absences. The earliest start time will be 8.30am, and the latest finish time would be 6.15pm; the maximum working day is eight hours, excluding meal breaks.

You will be part of a busy team providing frontline customer service, handling checkout, advising customers on reading, shelving, and assisting with public computer enquiries. You will need excellent people skills and be comfortable multi-tasking. Both library branches offer a limited café service including coffee (training will be provided).

This is a casual position and there are no guaranteed minimum hours.
