**_The role/Te mahi_**

We seek a new full time, permanent Lecturer with expertise in Surveying/Geospatial Science.

In this role you will contribute to the School’s excellent teaching and learning culture and to our diverse research and professional profile. You will be responsible for:

- Growing an active research programme, publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, obtaining external funding and supervising research students.
- Maintaining an active and forward-looking professional profile, and strong connections with the surveying profession in Aotearoa New Zealand.
- Contributing to the effective and efficient running of the School to meet its responsibilities within the University and wider community.
- Contributing to support of the University’s Māori, Pacific, Equity & Diversity and Sustainability strategic frameworks.

- PhD in an appropriate discipline.
- Active research portfolio, as evidenced by a high quality publication record.
- Leadership experience and a record of accomplishment across two or more S+SNZ professional streams, delivering excellent outcomes for diverse clients.
- Enthusiastic and effective teacher and mentor in Surveying/Geospatial Science.
- Collaborative, collegial and inclusive approach to teaching, research/practice and service.

The salary range for this position is $83,652 to $100,050 per annum.
