**Ōtaki to North of Levin Project**

The Ōtaki to north of Levin (Ō2NL) highway will dramatically improve safety, resilience, and efficiency, as well as increasing transport choices for the area’s growing population. The Ō2NL project is led in Partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga and council partner Horowhenua District Council.

This transformative project is being delivered using a two-alliance approach, with each alliance delivering a section of the road and associated works. Together alliance partners are working to create a positive legacy for the region, led by our project principles to tread lightly with the whenua and create an enduring legacy. We are seeking excellent people for this unique opportunity to work and collaborate with leading industry organisations.

Downer is proud to be a partner within the South Alliance alongside McConnell Dowell, Beca, and Tonkin + Taylor as Non-Owner Participants (NOPs). Our scope is from Ōtaki through to South of the Ohau river.

**Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

With preparations for Ō2NL's first Summer season underway, we are now seeking expressions of interest from experienced Labourers.

We are looking for competent operators to support a range of activities including:

- Day to day tasks on a construction site
- Stripping existing farm fencing
- Installing and maintaining silt fencesChecking on erosion and sediment control devices
- **Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**

We’re looking for skilled and committed laboruers who take pride in their work and understand the importance of contributing to a project that will leave a lasting legacy for the region. You’ll be part of a team that values safety, collaboration, and excellence, and you’ll bring the right attitude, experience, and capability to match.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Full Class 1 drivers licence
- Proven experience using a range of hand and power tools
- A strong commitment to safe work practices and Zero Harm principles
- Reliability, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to support your team
- Proven experience with erosion and sediment control
- Physical fitness and a positive attitude toward working outdoors in all conditions
