**Group Manager Corporate Services**

You'll have a sound understanding of the Local Government Act and experience supporting elected members, as well as the confidence to work in a complex and politically aware environment.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you'll be a key member of our Senior Leadership Team. You'll provide strategic financial and long-term planning advice, contribute to cross-organisational leadership, and lead a diverse portfolio that includes governance support, legal services, risk and assurance, information systems, and facilities management.

This is a critical leadership role where you'll be expected to provide high quality leadership and management, displaying standards and behaviours that are reflective of Council values and lead by example, including providing direction to and oversight of
- Information Systems including information technology, information and records management
- Governance and Committees' support
- Financial Services, including financial strategy, budget, financial management and rates
- Risk and Assurance Services, including risk management, Health Safety and Wellbeing, insurance, internal audit, fraud management and process management
- Legal Services, including LGOIMA management
- Facilities Management, including fleet and property management.

You'll promote our organisation's vision and values, ensuring your teams understand and live them every day, while delivering high-quality, customer-focused corporate services across the board.

**What are we looking for?**

You will be an experienced senior leader known for your political acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders. You are driven to provide high quality leadership and management, displaying standards and behaviours that are reflective of Council values, leading by example.

**You will bring**:

- A tertiary qualification in business, finance, or other functions within the Corporate Services portfolio
- At least 10 years' experience in a senior corporate services management role
- Understanding of Treaty of Waitangi, Tikanga Māori
- Well-developed facilitation, advocacy, and lobbying skills
- Project management experience
