Koia, ka whiwhi i te tranga me mhio te kaitono ki Te Reo Mori (-waha, -tuhi), no hoki me mhio I ng tikanga Mori. - Leading Brain Injury Rehabilitation Provider - Porirua Location - Dynamic Rehabilitation Team ABI Rehabilitation is the specialist provider of intensive adult inpatient brain injury rehabilitation for 85% of the population of New Zealand, serving 15 of the 20 DHBs. We have attained accreditation with Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation (CARF) International, an international gold standard for person centred quality rehabilitation. A permanent full time and/or part time position is available for a Mori Cultural Support rolewhose primary objectives will be: - Provide guidance and leadership in culturally appropriate rehabilitation - Enhance the quality of the client and whnau experience in collaboration with the rehabilitation team - Working alongside the Client, Whnau and interdisciplinary team with working on meaningful rehabilitation goals - Assist with transition points (entry and exit of service) to ensure cultural needs are assessed and addressed - Assist with supporting and educating the rehabilitation teams in cultural safety matters and training **Skills and Experience** - Good knowledge of Tikanga Mori practices - Intermediate Level in Te Reo Mori me na Tikanga - Demonstrate leadership skills - Strong time management skills - Demonstrate teaching skills in respect of junior clinical staff, other staff, clients and their Whnau - Demonstrate ability to work within an interdisciplinary team - Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills - Excellent administrative/computer skills - Current NZ driver License - Social work experience would be an advantage We can offer you excellent opportunities for personal and professional development within a supportive team environment.
