**About the role**

As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, contributing to key valuations, reporting tasks, and strategic projects. **In this key role, you’ll**
- Make an Impact with Financial Valuations by diving into US GAAP and NZ IFRS17 valuations, ensuring precision and compliance while skillfully explaining variances.
- Contribute to quarterly data returns, internal trend reports, and preparing annual financial statements, showcasing your analytical prowess.
- Play a crucial part in testing and enhancing our models, ensuring they are reliable and cutting-edge.
- Contribute to and support the advice for individual policy queriesContribute to process Improvements by driving the simplification of complex processes and implementing best practices that boost efficiency and effectiveness.

**To be successful and grow in this role, you will ideally bring the following**
- A tertiary qualification in Actuarial Science or a related quantitative discipline.
- Progress towards Level 1 exams with the New Zealand Society of Actuaries and up to 3 years of actuarial experience.
- Proficiency in actuarial processes and systems, ideally with knowledge of Prophet.
- Strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset, with the ability to tackle challenges with energy and drive.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to foster collaboration and unity within the team.
