We have an exciting opportunity within our Resources Group for a Team Leader Finance. This is a diverse role where there is a key focus on mentoring and guiding your team as well as the technical aspect of corporate financial accounting functions.

With a diverse range of work and the ability to influence in this challenging yet rewarding role, we will see you make a real difference in keeping the cogs turning. You'll be a key part of providing support to Council Controlled Organisations and will support your Manager in maintaining the integrity of the financial reporting system. You'll also manage the delivery of the Councils annual report which includes assisting with technical projects. Being a team leader will see you develop and maintain the training and professional growth of your accounting staff.

With your keen eye for detail you'll make sure the quality of financial information (is produced both on time and to a high standard - you're someone who can foresee any potential risks and will have systems in place to mitigate this. Having a collaborative approach you'll work closely with the team to develop structures and will oversee reconciliation processing. You'll ensure that Council best practice is adhered to.

Managing a team of four, your previous experience in a leadership position will come in handy when guiding them on technical procedures and taking a mentoring approach to share your experience and knowledge.
