**Here's what you'll do**

As Postal team leader, you will ensure all company health and safety policies/processes are up to date and implemented. Manage day-to-day operational performance. Review and allocate run/mail changes where necessary in conjunction with the Delivery Team Leader to ensure mail delivery standards are maintained.

The key accountabilities of the role will include but are not limited to the following:

- Ensure safety is the top priority in the workplace.
- Ensure training development is carried out for newly recruited staff as well as existing staff.
- Manage/deal with all issues pertaining to the local Core/Postal sort and delivery operation in a professional manner.
- Monitor and mentor your team, providing leadership and direction focusing on achieving 'premier' service for all customers.
- Ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement in regards to cost-efficiency with a good grasp on KPIs and service deadlines

- Highly organized with strong time management skills, mail volumes are variable. The hours are mostly between **4pm and 12 am Monday to Friday** however there will be nights as late as 3 am or days as early as 3pm
- Ability to resolve client/customer problems in a helpful, non-confrontational manner.
- Flexible and adaptable relative to business requirements
- Experience in managing a team
- A good understanding of the Microsoft office suite; the role involves data entry
