As a Hammer hand you will be expected to start work on time and may have to finish late. You are physically fit and be able to do heavy lifting if required by the job. Job duties included but not limited to:
Assist Carpenter in constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, and conforming to local building
- codes: Studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fibreboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.
- Follow instructions given by a Carpenter and select specified type of lumber or other materials.
- Prepares layout, using rule, framing square, and callipers.
- Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials, using pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Shapes materials to prescribed measurements, using saws, chisels, and planes.
- Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue.
- Applicants for this position should have NZ Residency or a valid NZ work Visa.
- Should have a vehicle to go for different sites.

Pay : $28.00 to $29.00 per hour

**Job Type**: Full Time and Permanent

Hours: 30 hours/week

Shift: 8 Hours

**Salary**: $28.00 - $29.00 per year
