Some of the Main Responsibilities include:

- Carrying and handling materials: A hammerhand is responsible for carrying and handling materials, such as lumber, concrete blocks, and other construction supplies.
- Assisting with site preparation: They may be required to prepare the site for construction, including digging and leveling the ground, setting up scaffolding, and building temporary structures.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment: A hammerhand is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the equipment and tools used on the job site.
- Supporting skilled tradespeople: They assist the skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, bricklayers, and plumbers by holding materials, handing tools, and performing other tasks as required.
- Following safety protocols: A hammerhand must always follow safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear, handling materials and tools properly, and reporting any hazards or accidents.
