My client is on the hunt for an Assistant or BAS Manager to join their highly respected team and large international firm in Christchurch Whether you are looking to step up, an exciting new challenge to enhance your skills, or just looking to start a new chapter in your career, this position offers you unique opportunities to reach new heights

The team is at the core of this business - boasting a positive, hardworking, and fun team culture - this is the perfect role if you are looking for your first management position or a smooth transition role With a mixture of age groups, demographics, and accountants at varying levels (CA qualified, CA-studies, and qualified by experience) this team is a perfect mixture to gain experience working with a variety of staff at differing levels.

As an AM/Manager, this position encourages you to work alongside and support the team to keep your knowledge and skill set up to date alongside providing staff with hands-on experience working in an open-door environment. This includes: reviewing work, mentoring, projects, business development, client management as well as sometimes ‘getting amongst it’ and joining the junior staff to help with compliance work.

**Who we are seeking**
You will have:

- At least 3 years of experience within BAS/Tax in a public practice environment
- Have the right to work in NZ
- Previous management experience - preferred but not required
- Hardworking, can-do, and positive attitude
- Compliance and advisory experience
- Experience using Xero is expected and MYOB - is preferred but not required
