Wellmart Retail in Hamilton is a superette providing quality groceries for the local community, especially our various and abundant Chinese groceries are most popular. We are looking for more full-time Checkout Operators to join us, mainly responsible for operating cash registers and receiving payments for goods purchased by customers.

This is a full-time permanent position. You will work 30 to 40 hours per week on the roster (minimum 30 hours guarantee), with an hourly rate of $29.66 - $30.00.

We are open seven days a week, 8.30 am-7.00 pm. Please know that you may need to work on weekends and public holidays.

There is no requirement for work experience or qualification.
However, skill/experience/knowledge in checkout operation will be an advantage.

**Key duties will include**:
scanning, weighing, and recording prices of goods
receiving and processing payments for goods and services by cash, credit and debit cards and other payment types
issuing sales dockets and giving change
maintaining supplies of change, wrapping and other materials used at checkout
any other duties that the owner may assign.

be highly motivated, friendly, and outgoing with a great team attitude
