An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate **Clinical Nurse Shift Leader**with leadership and acute inpatient mental health experience to become part of **Whare Whakaue Mental Health Acute Inpatient Unit** based at Rotorua Hospital.
**About the role**
As a Clinical Nurse Shift Leader you will:
- be an experienced acute inpatient mental health nurse.
- have ability to allocate, lead and co-ordinate work loads and resources on a shift by shift basis, while taking into account what may need to be required on subsequent shifts.
- have the ability to provide coaching and leadership in managing acute situations and will be seen as a knowledge resource to others.
- grow the capacity of junior & overseas trained staff to deliver a high standard of care through coaching and mentoring.
- be expected to hold a portfolio in the Unit such as “Implementation of Feedback Informed Treatment” and will work closely with our Clinical Nurse Specialist ensuring that best practice and care is maintained.
**About you**
As a Clinical Nurse Shift Leader you will:
- be a New Zealand Registered Nurse eligible to work in Mental Health and have a current APC with a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience with minimum 3 of those years in an acute inpatient mental health setting
- have competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth

**Salary range**
$116,040 to $120,072 pro-rated to hours worked
