**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We are currently looking for an experienced, compassionate Orderly to support our ICU team. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of prompt, efficient and patient focused service at DCCM.

The orderly role in DCCM is integral to the team for a wide range of tasks supporting the intensive environment. The Special Duty orderly is responsible for covering other orderlies for leave

This role will include direct patient care under supervision of the ICU Registered Nurses and other Health Professionals. Other role duties include:

- **Responsibility for inter-department specimen and item deliveries**:

- **Disposal of sharps buckets, linens and rubbish**:

- **Re-stocking equipment**:

- **Assisting with transporting, lifting and washing of our patients.**
- Our intensive care patients require regular turning and mobilisation to prevent complications of their illness, so you must be physically fit to assist._
