Mechanics Bay, New Zealand Aon Corporation Full time

Posting Description:
**Aon is in the business of better decisions.**

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organisation, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

Aon’s success is founded on an unwavering commitment to personal and professional integrity. In New Zealand, this means we are continuing to invest in enhancing our operations and expanding our capability by building a team of talented professionals, who are eager to join us on our journey to shape the future in this industry.

**How this opportunity is different**:
As the Platform Executive you will support the ongoing maintenance and development of Aon’s core strategic placement platform by focusing on the uplift of the platform to include new products, new platform features and fixes to deal with trending transactional issues. As part of this you will have both an internal and external focus as you understand the user needs and issues across both brokers and insurers and support the end-to-end development and delivery of system enhancements and fixes. You will be expected to engage in a way that drives platform change through influence rather than via hierarchy.

To set you up for success, you’ll be working with a supportive leader and amazing team who will ensure you are exposed to growth and development opportunities. Exciting - right?

**What the day will look like**:

- Support platform users in the event of transactional processing issues, review issues, and identify appropriate triage pathway.
- Develop and inspire change management processes for any system enhancement, including communication, training material development, and communicating updates.
- Engage with users and product owners to document user needs, pain points, and product requirements to enable the identification and analysis of system enhancements.
- Take part in enhancement discovery sessions and support the build-out of business requirements as required.
- Develop and undertake User Acceptance Testing.
- Develop documented processes for all platform-related activity.
- Support the documentation of standard team operating procedures and processes.

**Skills and experience that will lead to success.**
- Exposure and knowledge of General Insurance processes and platforms
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to ask relevant probing questions to uncover team and collaborators' challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to articulate, advocate, and influence decisions.
- Familiar with the use of modern tools such as JIRA
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a team environment - both leading and participating
- Self-motivated, shows initiative, enthusiastic.

**Other requirements are**:

- 3+ years of General Insurance experience
- BA / Testing experience
- Experience in communication with a range of collaborators.
- Proven track record in eliciting user difficulties and latent needs
- Experience in platform development and business requirements gathering.
- Advanced Office (Word, Excel) skills
