We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters. As we move away from the response to the COVID-19 pandemic now is the time to look to the future, to ensure New Zealanders are cared for by a health system that is innovative, future focussed and world leading.

Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
Our System Enablers team is looking for great policy-minds to support their ever-evolving work on high impact issues in the health system, such as:

- The post-Pharmac review work programme
- Developing a rare disorders strategy
- Appropriate and equitable access to therapeutics

As a highly collaborative policy professional who can see the benefits of strong policy advice using data analysis and research to evidence advice, you bring with you a ability to take complex information and make it relevant across a range of audiences.
You use your in-depth understanding of how legislative and regulatory instruments can be applied to deliver better economic and social outcomes and improve health outcomes.
Your advice is understood by a range of audiences, breaking complex problems into achievable equitable solutions. You will take ownership and action on challenges, working collaboratively with others. You are all adding value to the team, to deliver high quality policy to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for New Zealanders.
At a Senior level, you will be able to demonstrate your comfort in sharing your knowledge and mentoring analysts to grow their policy skills. You are open to learning from others, seeking opportunities through your work to further grow both your written and analytical skillsets, whilst demonstrating core leadership skills when leading of pieces of work.
