FIVE STAR HVAC LIMITED is an Auckland-based company. We are looking for several experienced air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics to join us. This is a full time role with minimum 30 hours per week.

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
This role aims to assemble, install, maintain and repair industrial, commercial and domestic air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.

**Tasks Include**:

- Conduct the task to establish the job requirements from drawings and specifications.
- Conduct the task to lay out installation reference points
- Drilling holes, installing mounting brackets and cutting, bending and threading piping and all connection pipelines.
- Install and repair components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches and gauges, and pipelines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, etc
- Bolting, soldering, riveting, welding and brazing pipes to connect equipment and checking alignment and accuracy of fit
- Conduct the leak check for the filling systems with gas or fluid.
- Conduct the task of testing refrigeration systems, checking mechanisms and making adjustments.
- Conduct the task of removing test gas and fluid using relevant equipment.
- Checking and overhauling refrigeration systems, diagnosing faults, repairing and replacing defective components
- Conduct the task of recording causes of malfunctioning and action taken
- Adjusting system controls and mechanisms and reassembling systems
- At least three years of relevant work experience OR NZ Level 4 relevant Certificate qualification or equivalent.
- Good work attitude and good communication skills
- Strong motivation
- Physical fitness and could handle the heavy workload
- Quality workmanship and eye for detail
- Strong dedication to health and workplace safety
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with other team members.
- Strong ability to work independently
