**Part-Time Tutor - YMCA Taranaki Education**
**Location: New Plymouth | 7:30am - 12:30pm | 20 hours**

YMCA Taranaki is looking for a values-driven educator who can inspire, support and guide young people through their learning journey. This is more than a teaching role — it’s about pastoral care, building trust, and helping rangatahi thrive.

What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking someone who:

- Has experience working with and relating to rangatahi in either pastoral care or tutoring.
- Can engage, motivate and uplift young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Understands New Zealand education standards and the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Brings empathy, patience and professionalism to their teaching.
- Has strong time management, administration, and communication skills.
- Is confident with digital tools and systems.
- Maintains high standards of health and safety.
- Holds a full, clean driver’s licence.

Has or willing to obtain:

- Unit Standard 4098
- National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (Level 5)
- First Aid Certificate
