**Tēnei tūranga - About the role**:
The Engagement, Communications and Ministerial Services branch is working towards some ambitious goals to be the highest performing team in the public sector. We are looking for a diverse range of people to fill a diverse range of positions to help us get there. All of that while also making a real difference for Aotearoa New Zealand.

Two senior roles will support the Immigration New Zealand communications team. The remaining three roles will initially be in engagement and communication teams that are helping to support our stunning research, science and innovation sectors, and transform key parts of our economy including tourism and advanced manufacturing. They will make it easy for people to be informed and educated on their rights, while also holding people to account. Then there will be opportunities for these advisors to move into supporting the communications for other parts of our incredibly diverse organisation over our wide range of portfolio areas - from immigration and employment relations policy through to regional development, championing innovation and helping people.

Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and experience required:

- Experience writing engaging content for a range of channels and stakeholders, including socials and mainstream media
- Experience managing our media relationships
- Ability to work with our fantastic multi-media, marketing, design and digital channel gurus to create meaningful content that reaches the right people
- The ability to build strong networks with senior managers across MBIE, as well as our staff and key internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of Government decision-making and operating procedures.
- A proactive, and positive attitude, bringing great ideas to the table, sound judgement and discretion
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a way that makes all our customers feel like they are our only customers.

Ideally you’d also have around five years’ experience in creating and delivering internal and external communications strategies and supporting material.
