Inside Sales Representative

The job title for the individual who is at the fore our sales efforts may not accurately capture the dynamic role they play. They are responsible for driving business to our organisation and are the person who serves as the ‘go-to’ expert on CAT attachments.

That’s a big build up to what a day in the life of a Terra Cat ISR looks like. The day might start following up and qualifying leads that have come in overnight from Facebook, from Instagram, and from our Terra Cat website. You will talk to customers about what they are really looking for, or in sales term “qualifying them”, loading the lead and passing it on to one of our nationwide team of Territory Account Managers. (The good thing is if you effectively qualify them and they make a purchase, you will not only secure the deal but also earn a commission on top of it)

You will also have your own portfolio of customers to stay in touch with and make sure that Terra Cat is looking after them and giving them everything they need. When new offers come out you will have your own list of customers to call and introduce the offer to. While our product is exceptional, there are times when customers require an extra nudge to transition from being observers to expressing interest in purchasing.

As this role primarily involves phone-based interactions, it is crucial to possess confidence in communicating with people over the phone. While it’s not to say that you will never have face-to-face interactions, we occasionally have walk in customers requiring machine demonstrations, the predominant focus of the role revolves around phone-based activities.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Excellent relationship management skills combined with previous sales experience.
- Exceptional communication skills (particularly over the phone) with an ability to influence others.
- A genuine commitment to delivering a level of service that is second to none.
- A process and methodical mindset that ensures you are always highly organised.
