We are looking for an experienced, commercial, dynamic Finance Business Partner to work for a fast-growing company in the engineering design sector.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to effectively partner with project leaders and business operations and provide a key finance business partnering connection.

The role will see you provide support and direction to the broader team and deliver financial outcomes with leaders across New Zealand and overseas. It is crucial that you are a strong relationship builder with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. There is a strong operational aspect to this role, and you must be prepared to roll your sleeves up and work across this varied business.

The role is a busy and varied one and we are looking for people who can operate in a high pace environment with a solution-oriented approach who want the opportunity to do good work. Additionally, you will have high attention to detail in providing accurate and informative information.

**Some Responsibilities of this role include**:

- The sound and effective financial management of projects and contracts through: Contract Management processes, including reviewing pricing and the development and management of budgets, focusing on P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
- The ongoing review of project/contract performance (costs, margin, tender versus actual etc) with the Project Managers (identifying issues, corrective actions and improvements etc).
- Ensuring the credibility of financial information, particularly in relation to WIP and forecasts.
- Be a key Finance representative implementing change and process improvements.
- Prepare and publish operational reporting in conjunction with Management Accounts.
- Deliver Budgeting and Forecasting activities.
