**About the role**:
We are seeking a Kaiako to deliver the Manahautū: Combined Shared Services programme, which involves but is not limited to: developing lesson plans, presenting material to tauira (students), responding to tauira learning needs, and evaluating tauira progress. Some flexibility may be required to work some weekends and evenings

**About you**:
Ideally, applicants will have:

- Diploma in a related field
- New Zealand Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching Level 5 (NZCATT L5) or equivalent, or be willing to complete during the first year of employment
- National Certificate in Adult Literacy & Numeracy Education Level 5 (NCALNE L5)
- Full and current NZ Driver Licence
- Clean Police Record

**Experience**:

- Preferably held a previous role within the NZ Police
- Proven experience in a related role
- Adult teaching experience
- Whilst teaching experience is highly valued at TWoA, newly qualified Kaiako with relevant qualifications but with no or limited previous teaching experience will also be considered._

**Āhuatanga Māori**:

- Able to demonstrate knowledge and appreciation of te reo and tikanga Māori within a bicultural framework
- Engages in cultural activities (e.g. Karakia, Pōwhiri/Whakatau) and has a sound understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga)

**NOTE**: This position is classed as a Core Worker under the Vulnerable Children’s Act and will need to pass a safety check, inclusive of Police Vetting, under the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014.
