Team Experience Coordinator

Simple Machines is looking for a part-time **Team Experience Coordinator** to join our tight knit, yet globally distributed team of technologists building cutting edge products at the intersection of data and artificial intelligence.

This would be an amazing role for someone that is either looking to return to work or wanting a fulfilling part-time role within the Technology space.

We’re keen on finding a genuine ‘people person’ with a strong ownership mindset to see tasks through. If you’re right for us, you’ll be looking to get stuck into a role where you can make a real impact and learn from an experienced leadership team. Ideally, you’re motivated, and more than a little bit creative.

You will have a strong background across **Office Administration and office Management **and a passion for making people love coming to work.

You will be highly organised with a flair for planning events. As you never know what’s around the corner, you will work well with ambiguity and thrive for the next challenge.

**About the role**

People are at the core of our company and ensuring our people have the best experience they can with us is one of the most important things you will have ownership of driving an amazing experience for all.

Day-2-day duties:

- Take ownership and pride in maintaining an awesome office environment - _Green fingers always helps_
- Arranging and set up weekly team lunches, lunch & learns and team events - _Time to use your event planning skills_
- Our team works hard, so making sure the Coffee machine is always ready to go
- You have your ear to the ground - You know all the cool new places to order lunch from
- You are a people person, super motivated, a little bit creative and have an ‘ownership mindset’ meaning that you can see tasks through
- If someone has an issue - they know to call you - be the point of contact for the office and team

**Your prior experience**

This role will suit someone who loves working with people, can communicate effectively and can bring solid skills across team engagement, office management & administration. You could have worked in hospitality, events, journalism, media, for a corporate, an NGO, or even a small business.

The sorts of things we’ll look fondly upon, however if you don’t have some of these don’t worry:

- Background and/or experience in event planning
- Engaging with lots of different people on any given day
- Multitasking and prioritising in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to self-manage and deliver
- Strong written communication
- Tech skills - packages such as Word, excel, PowerPoint, or design packages, presentations etc.
- A ‘can-do' attitude and a passion for learning.
- Able to wear multiple hats - no two days are the same

**The** **Important stuff**

**Working hours**: This is a **part-time **office based role**, approximately 19 hours per week across Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s. A full day Monday and a 6-hr day Wednesday and Friday. The role may involve some liaising with our Australian based team.

**Prior Experience**: You would have gained advanced administrative skills while working within an agile/high-performing culture. You will have a passion for driving and supporting employee wellbeing. While making sure that the office runs smoothly.

**Other Benefits**: Lunch provided three days a week, Friday evening drinks and regular team events.

**Location**: Christchurch based.
