**About The Role**

You'll be responsible for managing & delivering our finance activity across Australia and New Zealand for Cardlink Systems Ltd, Business Fuel Cards Pty Ltd, and Kiwi Fuel Cards Ltd as we continue to stretch our growth objectives next year.

**You're role in a nutshell involves**:

- Oversight of finance and credit functions across ANZ to achieve/exceed targets, financial and business objectives
- Leading a finance team of 5 direct reports and a credit team of 13 indirect reports with a focus on coaching, developing & succession planning
- Monthly and quarterly management reporting (including full financial suite with draft commentary)
- Financial, Management/Group, Statutory, Compliance, Taxation & Treasury Accounting and Reporting
- Leading budget preparation and year end audit
- Involvement in company-wide projects providing demonstrable value to the bottom line
- Support recruitment and performance appraisals
- Implement effective staff training where relevant and wider business, to ensure compliance with Corporate/Business Policies and procedures
- Consolidation accounting, including other subsidiaries
- Review of all Balance Sheet accounts, investigation and resolution of all balances
- Managing risks by developing and maintaining strong internal controls through the delivery of commercial and operational policies and procedures
- Proactive approach in delivery and interpretation of management information (both financial and non-financial)
- Transform current processes to support digital credit assessment and customer on boarding
- Monitor receivables and collections and provide updates of receivables and provide appropriate reporting procedures
- Monitor violations of credit policies, provide analysis, conclusion and recommendations, present findings to senior management and suggest actions/penalties to be taken when appropriate
- Create a culture of high performance and ownership
- Take on other duties and projects as required by the Managing Director and US Finance Team
- 5+ years proven experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Director in a medium to large commercial business
- Full CA Qualification and Bachelors or higher educational qualification in Accounting
- Minimum 6-8 years post qualification experience
- Experience in complex accounting environments
- Prior experience in group accounting & reporting (global experience a bonus)
- Proven leadership experience managing & developing small to medium sized teams
- Proficient with MS Excel - Advanced (Experience with SAGE or Great Plains a bonus)
- Ability to work on multiple projects with various constituents and frequently changing priorities / deadlines
- Detailed orientated and hands on, with the ability to also think and contribute strategically to a high growth company
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Experience in a company with high volume of transactions
- Customer focused attitude with effective business partnering skills
- Prior experience driving transformation (including automation and efficiencies)
- Financial Services or industry exposure an advantage
