**Te** **Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity**
As a pivotal part of the Network Strategy team you will be responsible for leading Chorus’ network data analytics practice. Your primary focus will be building statistical models to forecast long-term bandwidth growth rates, communicating insights to a wide range of internal and external audiences.
- Develop and utilise tools and processes to extract and analyse traffic data from Chorus’s fibre network and systems.
- Develop and utilise tools and processes to monitor and report key network traffic metrics and trends.
- Build and maintain a forecasting model to predict future growth rates in data usage and network traffic.
- Publish and communicate key insights, visualisations and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholder managers to ensure forecasts and insights are meeting external stakeholder expectations.
**Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience**
This role is ideally suited to somebody with a strong Data Science skillset. You have experience with Mathematical and Statical Modelling and strong Network knowledge - to be successful in this role you will need to understand how the internet and broadband works
- 7+ years’ experience in a technology related discipline within a big-data environment.
- Prefer experience in telecommunications technology.
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to broadband technology and/or data analytics; especially Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Technology, Engineering, and Computing.
- Data and analytics skills e.g. SQL, Python, Snowflake, Tableau, AI/ML.
- Mathematical skills e.g. time series forecasting, statistical analysis.
- Broadband technology knowledge e.g. understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- Ability to present complex technology concepts, opportunities and challenges to senior business stakeholders.
