Lowie has an opportunity for an experienced boat builder to join our client at their East Tamaki and Half Moon Bay workshops.
If you're a self-starter with a can do attitude keen to work on large motor yachts, this full-time permanent role is a great fit. Perfect for a passionate and versatile professional that takes pride in their workmanship.

**What we offer**:

- $40 - $45 an hour, paid weekly
- 50 - 60 hours per week
- Free parking
- Opportunity to work close to home if you live in South/East Auckland Great working environment

**Some duties you may be required to do**:

- Build, refit, repair, and service boats
- Use a range of tools and materials
- Select the correct building materials to use, such as composite materials, timber, alloy, and steel
- Build interior/exterior boat cabinetry.
- Work safely and reduce hazards as much as possible Install engines and marine systems (plumbing, electrical, electronic, tankage) and components in boats

- Experience in boating, construction (carpentry, plumbing, electrical), electrical wiring, engineering, panel beating and painting
- Knowledge of different boat building methods, boat building materials and how they're used in the manufacturing process
- Able to interpret diagrams, rough sketches and computer-aided design (CAD) drawings
- Can install machinery, cabinetry and other equipment
- Health and Safety knowledge and safe working practices
- Have reliable transport
