Silky Otter is a Kiwi-owned cinema chain with one branch currently in Orakei, Auckland, Wigram, Christchurch & Richmond, Nelson. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new and fresh located within Ponsonby Central.

With a reputation for delivering five-star service from throughout New Zealand and the world, we are looking for an awesome team to help deliver our vision.

Working at Silky Otter is not just a gig. Whether you’re with us for 4 hours or 40 each week, we are after true film fans and hospo superstars. Are you studying film or have a background in hospitality, we’re looking for energized people wanting to share their love of the industry with guests, and always looking for opportunities to go the extra mile.

With our new site opening soon we're recruiting roles including:

- Concierge
- Kitchen staff
- Wait staff

The more practical stuff:
Hospitality experience is a must, whether this be retail or hotels but bar and restaurant experience is king.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries helpfully and professionally.
- Great time management and the ability to cope under pressure.
- Understand and feel comfortable with budgets and KPI’s.
- Food handling experience plus food prep experience also advantageous
- A commitment to helping Silky Otter be the very best that it can be, embodying our brand values in your work, and setting a great example to your team.
