**A Day in the Life
**As Territory Manager, you will achieve territory sales revenue and growth targets for Medtronic Surgical Innovations in Auckland, and some selected regional areas (managed by flight travel). You will protect, maintain and grow the Advanced Surgical Technologies, Obesity and Metabolic Health and Hernia Surgical Product Portfolios. In this role you will enjoy world class comprehensive product training and mentoring for new hires along with an inclusive and supportive team and work culture.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Operating theatre orientated role that includes busy and strategically important Auckland Hospital Accounts
- Calling on consultant surgeons (key specialty areas are general surgery, colorectal, bariatric, gynaecology and urology surgical specialties), nursing leadership (Theatre Managers, Charge Nurses and Operating Theatre Nurse Educators) and inventory/ procurement customers to protect to maintain and grow business in the wound closure and hernia product portfolios.
- Drive new and existing growth orientated projects.
- Management and maintenance of consignment stock in some hospital accounts
- Ability to develop and build professional relationships with surgeons and other key customers. Needs to have strong communication skills with a strong technical aptitude.
- Ongoing participation in product training and attendance at marketing presentations (in person and virtual)
- Be IT savvy - learn and utilise Medtronic internal systems and processes on a daily basis to enable self sufficiency
- Successful applicant will need to have the ability to be flexible with time, as some operative cases can run into the evening, and occasionally on weekends.
- Travel in the role is approx. 3-4 nights every 8 weeks, but some weekend work is expected to attend weekend operative lists when they occur, industry conferences, regional workshops and occasional travel to Australia to attend internal Medtronic meetings.
- The central Auckland accounts are busy and reactive at times, so the successful applicant would need to reside in a location in Auckland that is no more that 30 mins away from key hospitals.
- Team player who enjoys working in a close supportive team environment with a high level of collegial team interaction.
**Must Have**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, nursing, science or similar qualifications.
- A strong collaborative mindset and very motivated to work closely with others
- A driven individual, detail orientated, and customer focused
