The Clinical Nurse Specialist has a critical role in ensuring we can provide holistic care, support and treatment to victims of sexual assault/abuse and NFSS.
A day in the life of this position:
- Daytime work between Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm. You will also be part of our after-hours roster and work a minimum of 2 to 3 on-call shifts per month.
- Leadership, training and support of nurses on the after-hours on-call roster.
- Working together with forensic examiners to collect forensic evidence and perform NFSS assessments.
- Provision of trauma-informed non-forensic therapeutic medical assessments including diagnosis and treatment of STI's and provision of contraception.

Experienced nurses motivated to make a difference to adults and older adolescents, who have faced trauma and adversity, and who share our strong values to help strengthen our community, are encouraged to apply. In addition:
- Registration as a nurse (or eligibility for registration) with NZ Nursing Council
- Demonstration of well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and a commitment to patient-centred care
- Ideally previous experience working within one or more of the following specialities: sexual and reproductive health, gynaecology, trauma care, forensic medicine, family violence and/or mental health
