**Job title/Position: Product Design Engineer**

Tech Mahindra is on the hunt for Product Design Engineers to join their technical team based out of **Auckland, New Zealand** for full time work.

**Product Design Engineer at Tech Mahindra **will be required to perform the following key roles & responsibilities:

- Design and development of Home Appliances (Refrigerator) components as per requirement / standards
- Develop detailed implementation plans and execute as per plan and following up the task to keep on track
- Work with Tech Mahindra offshore Team to get the required outcome.
- Monthly reporting of the progress, issues & action plans to the Project management
- Co-ordinate with the build team on proving the new designs
- Prototype building and proof of concept
- Work closely with the procurement and sourcing departments in arranging the parts on time for the builds
- Technical discussion with supplier to ensure parts are made as per specification
- Part validation through testing and review the results with customer
- Review and provide feedback on the Parts/Assembly Fit & Function
- Costing out parts through DFMA (Design for manufacturing & assembly)
- Complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for the final tooled parts

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a tertiary qualification in Mechanical/Automobile/Aerospace Engineering and at least 5 years of experience with design and development of Home Appliances.

Applicants with knowledge and experience using design tools like DFMEA, Tolerance stack up, Creo 4.0 (and onwards), Wind-chill PLM Tool will be preferred.

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
