**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The primary purpose of the role is to manage core operational activities - namely inwards goods, distribution and inventory within the wards, theatres and community sites in Auckland districts. You will also monitor service levels, stock availability, over stocks and deployment, returns process and cross functional relationship with other operational areas within the district. In addition the Assistant Distribution Manager will support the District Distribution Manager in stake holder management and the delivery of value to these stakeholders. This is an operational role and you will be required to work on-site.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Supply Chain, preferably within the health sector
- Proven experience in H&S systems practice in logistics or manufacturing environments
- Extensive use of ERP / MRP or other integrated technology in daily operations
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing small to medium operational teams at the cold face with the customer
- A degree in Commerce or Applied Management, majoring in Supply Chain or Operational Management, or comparable extensive experience working within the health sector in New Zealand or abroad at a mid-leadership level
