- What role you will play?As an Investment Banking Analyst/Associate, you’ll advise clients on undertaking acquisitions, mergers, sales of businesses or raising capital. You will be responsible for creating, implementing and reviewing complex financial models, understanding key business drivers and determining profitability. You will assist in the coordination of transaction workstreams across mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings, and will develop presentations, information memorandums and investment committee/board papers for clients.
- What you offer- 2+ years in an investment bank, or 3 years’ of corporate finance experience (including M&A advisory)
- Excellent financial modelling capabilities, which may have been gained through valuation, forecasting or scenario analysis (able to build models from scratch e.g., DCF, LBO, merger models)
- Comprehensive understanding of financial statements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to present key insights to senior stakeholders
- Team player approach and ability to excel in a fast paced and challenging work environment
- High energy level with the desire to contribute to the ongoing success and expansion of the New Zealand Country Coverage team at Macquarie.
