**About the Role**

We are currently looking for 2 entry level data scientists to join our group IT team working across the various divisions in the UP Group. This is a fixed-term opportunity for 12 months.

You will be a part of a supportive team where skill sharing, and collaboration are at the core of how we work. Appropriate training will be provided.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Developing analytics prototypes to answer an array of business questions
- Analysing various data sets to produce actionable insights across our various divisions
- Identify trends and patterns that inform data driven decisions
- Engage with key stakeholders and create solutions to business problems
- Assist the engineering team with the creation of data pipelines
- Leverage modern techniques in the development of analytics solutions
- Present data using various data visualisation techniques and tools

**About You**

For this role, you will need to have a degree in Data Science or related field, and a keen interest in and understanding of technology, particularly as it relates to data analytics. You will describe yourself as a self-starter who takes initiative and able to work independently. You will also need to have experience in coding and good verbal & oral communication skills.
