Freightways Information Services Ltd (FIS) is an internal shared services provider of information technology and advisory services to the Freightways businesses. It is responsible for managing Freightways' overall information technology infrastructure and maintains relationships with selected external information technology suppliers. An exciting opportunity has become available for MDM Solution Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for Maintaining, Updating and Supporting the Freightways Mobile Device Management (MDM) Platform, and all its connected devices. You will champion cross team collaboration, efficient processes, and prioritization to drive down customer effort. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Penrose. **What does the role involve?** - Delivering high quality and responsive customer service to our business users. - Manage, maintain, and implement mobile device management solutions with SOTI MobiControl. - Solve technical issues related to MDM systems and Android mobile devices. - Device asset and inventory management including procurement, spares, initial and ongoing deployments, and decommissioning. Ensuring regular and accurate lifecycle reporting. - Vendor coordination, management, and escalation support (RMA Repairs and Returns). - Testing and evaluating specified software packages, proposed hardware, and software to determine efficiency, reliability, security, and compatibility with existing systems. - Producing documentation and user knowledge base articles surrounding operational processes - Proactively learn and train others in support functions and new technologies. **The ideal applicant should have**: - 3+ years’ experience maintaining and supporting critical production IT environments. - Sound Working Knowledge on enterprise MDM in medium to large enterprise environments which includes, configuration, deploying, and troubleshooting Mobility infrastructure in an Enterprise environment >1000 devices (SOTI MobiControl Preferred). - MDM Administration experience in creating Device Groups, Profiles, Application packages and Rules. - Strong evidence of customer focused approach to IT required. - Familiar with Manage Engine (or similar tooling) for incident tickets, request tasks, change management and reporting. - Experience with incident troubleshooting and escalation. - Proactively learns and trains others in support functions and new technologies. A genuine willingness to help the rest of the team solve their issues, big or small. - Excellent communication and documentation skills with emphasis on verbal and written English competency.
