**Our Opportunity**:
We have recently opened a new seafood hub in Porirua, bringing together our Ika (Finfish), Paua Tuwa (Wild Abalone) and Koura (Lobster) businesses, onto one site.
As part of our Paua Tuwa growth we have established a new Production Team Leader role, that reports to the Production Manager. The key areas of responsibility are as follows:
- To coordinate and oversee the processing team to optimise productivity, yield and quality.
- To mentor and coach, the processing team to achieve continuous improvement
- To ensure all operations and processes are compliant with Company policy.
This is a great opportunity for someone with sound processing and operational skills, looking to gain people supervisory experience, and develop their leadership capability.
Paua Tuwa is a team-based business, so you need to enjoy working with others, supporting your colleagues and ensuring together targets are met, you keep each other safe and are delivering to a high standard.
We operate our factories and processing functions to the strictest standard of food safety and compliance. It requires every one of our people to be committed to achieving this high standard, adhering to all health & safety requirements and aligning behaviour, performance and engagement to our values and code of conduct.
**What You Will Bring**:Ideally you will have 2-3 years operational experience working within an aquaculture, seafood and/or fresh foods business. With a strong work ethic, you will be physically fit, honest and reliable, and enjoy learning new skills, working with good people and following processes.
You will ideally have a tertiary qualification in aquaculture, fisheries or equivalent and be looking to further develop your practical and business experience in the industry.
You must be eligible to live and work in NZ and you will need to pass a pre-employment criminal, medical and drug test.
